Closing Conference



Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, ROMANIA

The Faculty of Education Sciences at the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, in collaboration with the School Inspectorate of Suceava County, organized the conference „Promoting Mental Health in School - PROMEHS”, Friday, June 3, 2022, between 8.30 a.m. - 05.00 p.m. The conference was addressed to teachers in preschool, primary, secondary and high school education, school counselors and decision makers in the field of education.
Approximately 120 participants attended the conference (teachers in university and pre-university education, researchers in the fields of education and psychology, school counselors, policy makers, representatives of NGOs and of the Suceava County Council).
The event was opened by the speech of the dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, associate professor PhD. Adina COLOMEISCHI (coordinator of the PROMEHS project in Romania) and the vice-rector of the University Stefan cel Mare of Suceava, university professor Dr. Mihai DIMIAN.
The conference included lectures on various topics related to mental health. Presentations at the conference included:
  • the presentation of the PROMEHS project and the analysis of the impact of the program on the personal development of teachers (Adina COLOMEISCHI, PROMEHS project coordinator in Romania, associate professor PhD at the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava)
  • a plenary session on the prevention of mental health problems in young people (Ioana PODINA, associate professor. PhD at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Bucharest)
  • the analysis of the effects of the PROMEHS program on the well-being and performance of students (Petruța RUSU, associate professor PhD at the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava)
  •  the presentation of textbooks and guides developed within the project for children, teachers and parents in order to develop children's socio-emotional skills and prevent behavioral problems (Diana DUCA, PhD lecturer at the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava),
  • the presentation of the training program for teachers in order to implement social and emotional development activities in schools (Liliana BUJOR, PhD lecturer at the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava ; Adriana NICHITEAN, teacher counselor, CJRAE Suceava)
  • discussing the possibility of implementing an optional discipline to promote mental health in schools (Tatiana VÎNTUR, School Inspector, ISJ Suceava)
  • sharing experiences lived in the context of the implementation of the program at the level of kindergarten, primary education, gymnasium and high school (teachers who implemented the program at different cycles of pre-university education).

Na quarta-feira, 30 de setembro de 2020, a Faculdade de Ciências da Educação da Universidade “Ștefan cel Mare” de Suceava organizou a conferência online "Promover a saúde mental na escola" com o objetivo principal de lançar o projeto PROMEHS na Romênia. A conferência foi dirigida a professores (pré-escolares, escolas primárias, secundárias e secundárias), conselheiros escolares, pais e decisores políticos.

A conferência foi um verdadeiro sucesso com um número de 470 participantes (professores universitários e pré-universitários, investigadores nas áreas da educação e da psicologia, conselheiros escolares, pais de escolas e decisores políticos).

A conferência foi aberta com um discurso do Reitor da Faculdade de Ciências da Educação, Professora Associada Dra. Adina Colomeischi (coordenadora do projeto PROMEHS na Romênia) e do vice-reitor da Universidade de Stefan cel Mare em Suceava, Universidade Professor Dr. Mihai Dimian.

 

A conferência incluiu palestras sobre diversos temas relacionados à saúde mental, como desenvolvimento socioemocional, resiliência na escola e na família, prevenção da ansiedade e depressão em crianças e adolescentes, otimismo na escola, práticas de aprendizagem social e emocional.

  • The presentation of the PROMEHS project was made by the associate professor doctor, Adina COLOMEISCHI (Faculty of Education Sciences, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava);

  • Debate on how to promote mental health in school and family – speakers: school inspector Tatiana VÎNTUR, primary school teacher Cornelia FILIP, teacher Marina SIMA, psychologist Alina Ionescu-CORBU.
